Throw a Party in 2012. Here’s How to Ensure a Nice Turnout.
As you may or may not know, when it boils down to it our public scavenger hunts are essentially a big party with a scavenger hunt in the middle of it. Below are a few gems we’ve picked up en route to promoting, throwing and hosting a great party.
TAKE AN ANGLE
Choose something simple that will make your party different than just any party. You can choose a particular drink you’ll feature, Margarita Party!, or if you want to make it a theme party choose 1 object that people can bring or wear, such as an ugly sweater, a hat, or a mustache. It’s easy for people to pick up, sparks conversation at the party, and produces much more memorable photos.
A GREAT PARTY STARTS WITH A GREAT PRE-PARTY
This is a long time trick of former frat master and current CLASH Board Member Wolf Master Molokai, Esquire. Tell your friends you want them to get there early. Help you decorate, set-up, and make a DIY photo booth.
CHOOSE A SMALL SPACE
The smaller the space, the bigger the party feels. 50 people in a room big enough for 100 creates an awkward emptiness. 50 people in a space for 30 feels like an absolute rager.
